Gulfstream's innovative PlaneView® cockpit, the same technologically advanced avionics suite developed for the ultra-long-range Gulfstream G500® and G550®, is a standard feature on the Gulfstream G350® large-cabin, mid-range business jet. Based on Honeywell's Primus Epic® integrated avionics system, the PlaneView; cockpit is, without reservation, the most advanced flight deck available in business aviation today.
The G350's avionics suite features four 14-inch (36 cm) liquid crystal display screens that provide pilots with a wealth of system status flight information in landscape format. The PlaneView cockpit was the first in the industry to incorporate this type of display in its avionics suite.
With its elegant, human interface design, the PlaneView flight deck presents a clean, concise array of flight navigation and system displays, all placed in logical and familiar locations. Besides providing advanced flight deck functionality, the standard and optional flight systems in the PlaneView cockpit also serve to heighten situational awareness.
Every PlaneView cockpit features a fully synchronous triple FMS (flight management system), a feature not found in competitive aircraft. By using the Gulfstream signature Cursor Control Device (CCD), another first, pilots can interact with the FMS and the display map for true, graphical flight planning. The integrated navigation map displays the flight plan along with the terrain, airways, airports, navigational aids and radar data. Like a computer mouse, the CCD is a natural interface for display selection, configuration, checklist and other functions.
With its open architecture, the PlaneView cockpit easily accommodates optional or future avionics upgrades. Optional items available for the G350 include the next-generation Honeywell Head-Up Display II and the exclusive Gulfstream Enhanced Vision System II™. The EVS displays a clear picture of runway markings, taxiways, other aircraft and the landscape at night or in poor weather conditions. This unique system dramatically improves safety during landings in low visibility conditions. The Gulfstream EVS was the first system of its kind to earn FAA certification and today there are over 400 units in service on Gulfstream aircraft.
Gulfstream became the first manufacturer to certify synthetic vision under Part 25 rules. Referred to as SV-PFD™ (Synthetic Vision Primary Flight Display) by Gulfstream because of how it is integrated with the normal PFD in front of the pilot, it gives unprecedented levels of situational awareness using the current EGPWS database and GPS receivers on board the airplane to give an accurate picture of the terrain in front of the pilot regardless of the conditions outside.
The G350 uses the latest technology and safety features to accommodate your needs.
