GULFSTREAM NAMES JIM GALLAGHER AIRCRAFT HEALTH AND TREND-MONITORING SYSTEM
PROGRAM DIRECTOR
Position Created to Increase Aircraft Reliability, Reduce Unscheduled Maintenance
SAVANNAH , Ga. , April 09, 2007 – Gulfstream Aerospace has named Jim Gallagher to the newly created position of Aircraft Health and Trend-Monitoring System Program Director. Located in Savannah , Gallagher will be responsible for developing systems to record and analyze aircraft operational data from Gulfstream's current and future aircraft fleets.
The analysis of this data will enable the business-jet manufacturer to adjust model-specific maintenance plans to increase aircraft reliability, reduce unscheduled maintenance and improve aircraft support.
Gallagher previously was the entry-into-service director for the Gulfstream IV/IV-SP, G350 and G450 aircraft. A 22-year Gulfstream employee, he has served as the Enhanced Vision Systems (EVS) program manager, special missions program manager for Swedish and Japanese government programs, and director of marketing strategies during the introduction of the GV and GIV-SP aircraft.
Gallagher holds a bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering from the University of Manchester in England , a master's degree in mechanical engineering from Oklahoma State University and a master's degree in business administration (MBA) from Georgia Southern University.NOTE TO EDITORS
