GULFSTREAM AEROSPACE APPOINTS PAUL DELLINGER DIRECTOR OF ENVIRONMENTAL, HEALTH AND SAFETY
SAVANNAH , Ga. , Sept. 14, 2006 – Paul Dellinger has been hired as director of environmental, health and safety, Gulfstream Aerospace. In this position, he will oversee the environmental, health and safety programs of seven Gulfstream facilities and six General Dynamics Aviation Services aircraft maintenance centers. Both Gulfstream and General Dynamics Aviation Services are wholly owned subsidiaries of General Dynamics.
Prior to Gulfstream, Dellinger was the safety and environmental manager for technical operations with Delta Air Lines in Atlanta . He joined Delta in 1989 as an aircraft maintenance technician. He later served as an environmental analyst and then a safety and environmental manager for aircraft hangar maintenance.
Dellinger began his aviation career as an aircraft maintenance technician for the U.S. Air Force, assigned to Eglin Air Force Base, Fla. , honorably discharged at the rank of staff sergeant. He earned a bachelor’s degree in aviation operations management from Troy State University .
Dellinger is a Six Sigma Black Belt and a registered environmental manager and certified environmental systems specialist. He also is a licensed commercial pilot with instrument type rating.
