G550, GV Represent 77 percent of Ultra-Long-Range Business Jets in the Regions
SAVANNAH , Ga. , March 27, 2006 – The Gulfstream aircraft fleet has doubled in Latin America and the Caribbean in just four years, from 34 Gulfstream business jets in 2002 to 71 today.
In 2002, 12 GIIs, five GIIIs, nine GIVs, and eight GVs were operating in six Latin American and two Caribbean countries – Argentina , the Bahamas , Bermuda , Chile , Colombia , Mexico , Panama and Venezuela . By March 2006, that number grew to 71 Gulfstream business jets – 13 G100s, six G200s, 12 GIIs, six GIIIs, 16 GIVs, seven GVs, one G350, and 10 G550s – operating in Argentina, Aruba, Bahamas, Barbados, Brazil, the Cayman Islands, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Guatemala, Mexico, Panama, Peru, Venezuela, and the Virgin Islands. In the large-cabin, ultra-long-range business jet category, Gulfstream’s G550 and GV represent 77 percent of this class of aircraft in the regions.
In addition to the in-service fleet, Gulfstream sold a total of 11 aircraft – two G150s, three G200s, three G450s and three G550s – in the regions in 2005.

Aerocardal, an air charter provider based in Santiago , Chile recently purchased a new Gulfstream G150 to replace its G100 aircraft. According to Mr. Mario Avila, director, Aerocardal, the decision to
purchase the G150 was based on the growth potential of the South American economy and subsequent growth opportunities for Aerocardal.
