Gulfstream Aerospace Receives Award for Maintenance Excellence From NetJets®
Gulfstream's Dallas Service Center Recognized for Servicing NetJets' G200 Business Jets
SAVANNAH, Ga., Feb. 13, 2006 - Gulfstream Aerospace, a wholly owned subsidiary of General Dynamics (NYSE: GD), received an award today for maintenance excellence from NetJets, a Berkshire-Hathaway company and world leader in private aviation solutions.
“We are honored to have been chosen by NetJets to receive this highly coveted award,” said Larry Flynn, president, product support, Gulfstream. “As our biggest customer, we value NetJets’ opinion of the service we provide. We thank them for this very public recognition.”
NetJets’ first Annual Performance Award was presented by Don Crauswell, director, fleet-base maintenance, NetJets Services Inc., to the 25-person Dallas-based maintenance team and supporting personnel who ensure NetJets’ current fleet of 18 G200 aircraft is operating optimally. The Annual Performance Award was developed by NetJets to foster a competitive spirit among business-jet manufacturers that supply aircraft to NetJets.
Gulfstream and NetJets’ business relationship spans 10 years. In 1995, NetJets International, a NetJets subsidiary, purchased its first Gulfstream business jet in a multi-aircraft contract for 20 Gulfstream IV-SPs (GIV-SP). In addition to the 18 G200s in NetJets’ current fleet, there are another 51 Gulfstream aircraft, including G550s, G450s, GVs, GIV-SPs, and G400s.
