GULFSTREAM OWNERS AND OPERATORS FLOCK TO CMP.net
Maintenance Tracking Service Receives Wide-Spread Approval
SAVANNAH, Ga., Sep. 26, 2005 – Gulfstream Aerospace, a wholly owned subsidiary of General Dynamics (NYSE: GD), reports that a record number of Gulfstream owners and operators has selected Gulfstream CMP.net™ as their maintenance tracking service. CMP is an acronym for Computerized Maintenance Program.
Gulfstream CMP.net is a state-of-the-art, Web-based maintenance tracking service that provides Gulfstream aircraft owners and operators real-time access to their aircraft’s maintenance status, due-list projections and the latest Gulfstream CMP job cards and work instructions. Of particular significance to mixed fleet operators, CMP.net allows Gulfstream customers to track their non-Gulfstream aircraft as well. CMP.net assists owners and operators to ensure their aircraft are being maintained to the highest standards possible, while retaining their optimal resale values.
"Based on customer feedback, real-time Web access and mixed-fleet support were features that were very important to them," said Larry Flynn, president, product support, Gulfstream. "The overwhelming acceptance of CMP.net, which includes these features, tells me we are providing our customers what they need and want.
"This initial success is only the beginning," Flynn added. "The CMP.net platform allows us to constantly improve and adapt the system so we can continue providing value to our customers while exceeding their expectations." Integrated within Gulfstream’s Product Support organization, CMP.net is directly linked to the most current Gulfstream CMP task cards and service information. In addition to providing aircraft maintenance support, Gulfstream’s experienced analysts provide technical assistance to CMP.net users.
Gulfstream CMP.net was the first OEM maintenance tracking system to employ Avtrak Inc.’s proven Web-based GlobalNet application.
"Avtrak has become the industry standard platform for real-time OEM-provided and - supported maintenance tracking services because we understand what operators have been requesting for many years," said Joe Hertzler, president of Avtrak. "As a result, CMP.net reflects the OEM’s first-hand knowledge of the aircraft, while directly linking the latest aircraft model’s work instructions with Avtrak’s Web-based and easy-to-use interface. We are proud that Gulfstream was the first OEM to become ‘emPowered by Avtrak.'"
