GULFSTREAM TO MATCH COMPETITIVE PRICE QUOTES ON EXCHANGE PARTS FOR 60-DAY PERIOD
'Meet the Quote' Program Offers the Most Popular Exchange Parts for Gulfstream Business-Jet Aircraft
SAVANNAH, Ga., March 9, 2004 – Gulfstream Aerospace, a wholly owned subsidiary of General Dynamics (NYSE: GD), will be offering the most competitive prices ever on its most popular exchange parts for its GII, GIII, GIV/GIV-SP, GV, G300, G400, G500 and G550 business-jet aircraft.
The 60-day price-matching program, named “Meet the Quote,” will commence March 15 at 12:01 a.m. and terminate at midnight on May 15. Under the program, a customer submits to Gulfstream a current competitive quote on a specific part. If that part is priced lower than Gulfstream's price for the same part comparable in condition, age and warranty terms, Gulfstream will match the price of the part. Meet the Quote is offered to both current customers as well as to those individuals who own, operate or manage Gulfstream aircraft, but purchase their exchange parts from other sources.
“Our 'Meet the Quote' program is part of our long-term strategy to continually examine the industry pricing of spares and readjust our prices to remain competitive with other Gulfstream spare parts providers,” said Larry Flynn, president, Gulfstream Product Support. “But it doesn't end with competitive pricing. We invite new customers to experience first-hand what our customers have come to expect – our team's unwavering dedication to customer service. In addition to offering the most popular exchange parts at the most competitive prices, we include a one-year or 1,000-hour warranty, whichever comes first, on every part we sell.”
In its continuing effort to address the rising cost of aircraft spare parts, Gulfstream has significantly reduced its pricing during the past two years of more than 1,500 most frequently requested exchange parts.
Gulfstream spare-parts customers use a single point of contact, 1-800-810-GULF (1-800-810-4853; international customers can call 912-965-4178), for information and to order parts.
