GULFSTREAM INTRODUCES PREMIUM INTERIORS
Capitalizing on Decades of Completions Experience, Gulfstream Offers Time-honored, Customer-preferred Cabin Interior Selections for Refurbishments
SAVANNAH, Ga., Sept. 9, 2002 - Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation today announced the introduction of Premium Interiors™. Premium Interiors will use cabin design selections of today's new aircraft to refurbish and recomplete in-service Gulfstream business jets.
The time-honored, customer-preferred designs offered through Premium Interiors are a direct result of the accumulation of over four decades of experience and expertise in Gulfstream aircraft completions. Gulfstream has drawn from first-hand experience to determine the most efficient cabin designs, suitable materials and in-cabin communications components to ensure each customer trip is safe, productive and comfortable.
"Gulfstream Premium Interiors were created with the customer's time and aircraft availability in mind," said Bill Boisture, Gulfstream president. "Customers who are upgrading existing planes will prefer our new Premium Interiors solution to traditional aircraft refurbishment because it shortens turn-around time, provides ample choices of materials and upgrades, and greatly improves cost control."
Gulfstream Premium Interiors include state-of-the-art technology; the most frequently requested, customer-preferred features; the most suitable materials; and the most desirable travel-enhancing configurations available - all at an exceptional value. And because Gulfstream uses specially engineered cabin configurations and an inventory of specifically built, ready-to-finish components, spare parts are readily available should they be needed.
"Premium Interiors offer our customers different levels of service," said Larry Flynn, president, Product Support, Gulfstream. "Customers who don't require a complete customization can choose from reasonable alternatives without sacrificing the quality that has made Gulfstream the World Standard™."
Gulfstream Premium Interiors include superior customer service. Each customer has a single point of contact, a Gulfstream customer program manager, who works with interior specialists, technicians and craftspeople to ensure the interior is installed correctly and on schedule. Premium-level service continues after aircraft delivery. Every interior is backed by a two-year warranty - twice the length of a typical industry refurbishment warranty.
Additionally, customers can select from many Gulfstream Premium Interior options. These options include: the Securaplane 500 security system; a vacuum lavatory system; a mid-cabin bulkhead with pocket doors; granite or marble countertops; a water sterilization system; a cockpit camera, and two-tone exterior paint.
Premium Interiors offer three different levels of service.
The Silver Level Premium Interior Refurbishment makes use of many of an aircraft's existing components, including seating, cabinets, galley equipment and lighting. The cabin takes on a new look with new cabinet veneers and hardware, upholstery, carpeting; a new sink, improved countertop; and upgraded entertainment equipment. Additionally, the exterior is renewed with a fresh paint scheme.
The Gold Level Premium Interior Refurbishment offers a more comprehensive update, encompassing all elements of the Silver Level, plus a floor plan configuration change, new cabin insulation and a new galley or replacement of the galley assembly. Gulfstream's cabin management system, which controls all audio-visual switching, and a SATCOM system fully upgrade the cabin communication capabilities.
The Platinum Level Premium Interior Recompletion is for operators who want to return their aircraft to like-new condition. The entire aircraft interior is redesigned and replaced with new furniture, fabrics, cabin systems, soundproofing, lavatory and galley, resulting in an all-new, recompleted cabin environment. Renovations even extend into the cockpit, including reupholstered crew seats, carpet replacement and repaint of the instrument panel.
