GULFSTREAM AEROSPACE PROVIDES CUSTOMERS WIDER ARRAY OF SPARE PARTS AT REDUCED PRICES
Enhanced GulfSave Program Significantly Lowers Operator Costs
Savannah, GA, April 29, 2002 - Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of General Dynamics (NYSE: GD), has simultaneously increased the number of its Gulfstream II, Gulfstream III and Gulfstream IV high-demand, exchange components while significantly reducing the prices of those parts through its GulfSave program.
"We are listening to our customers," said Larry Flynn, Gulfstream senior vice president, aircraft services. "They've let us know the numbers and types of spare parts they need, the price they will pay for those parts and the turnaround time from placement of the order to receipt of the part. We've listened and we've adjusted our business to meet their needs."
With a more than 50 percent increase in its exchange parts inventory, Gulfstream's GulfSave program now provides operators an even larger array of reliable spare parts at significantly reduced prices. All GulfSave inventory items are sold from a menu "a-la-carte," unlike many original equipment manufacturers that compel operators to purchase spare parts packages, which often include parts that are not needed. In addition, all GulfSave exchange components include an ironclad one-year warranty, backed by 45 years of business aviation expertise.
"When our customers purchase their Gulfstream aircraft, we are committed to their satisfaction well beyond the sale," said Bill Boisture, Gulfstream president. "By providing consistent and superior customer service, we work daily to earn and retain our customers' business."
Gulfstream II, III and IV operators who choose GulfSave exchange components have the advantage of a single point of contact, 1-800-810-GULF. Experienced spare parts salespersons ensure the correct parts are identified, available and shipped from the nearest Gulfstream Spare Parts Distribution Center.
"With our single point of contact, Gulfstream operators have a one-stop shop to meet virtually all their material needs," said Flynn. "And because we have spare parts distribution centers throughout the world, we can get those parts to our operators quickly and efficiently."
